What Is It Like To Live On A Cruise Ship?
Living on a Disney cruise ship is a lot different than what most new crewmembers may expect. Crew cabins are designed to be small, yet functional. There are more than 900 crewmembers from over 50 different nationalities coming and going all the time. This means that there is a very good possibility that crewmembers will share rooms with people of different nationalities and backgrounds. There is time off to relax, swim, and play on Castaway Cay but that time is done in between work shifts. Disney Cruise Line’s fast-paced lifestyle can be overwhelming at first, but after a few short weeks, the crewmembers seem to form a familiar routine. Before long, Disney Cruise Line becomes your “home away from home.” Working at Disney Cruise Line also means taking “Mother Nature” into consideration. With rough seas, hurricane season, and hot, tropical days, the elements can add an extra level of stress to performing your job with the highest level of professionalism.
