The New Disney Cruise Ship
Is In A Class By Itself

The new Disney cruise ship is scheduled to set sail on Jan. 26, 2011. It looks as though creativity and innovation are taking over this magical cruise ship.

The Disney Dream will take family cruising to a whole new level.

It is scheduled to sail alternating three- and four-night cruises to the Bahamas and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

During the summer months, she will alternate four- and five-night itineraries with two stops at Castaway Cay.

Disney Dream Cruise Ship

The ship’s design is a perfect blend of elegant Art Deco style and fun-filled Disney whimsy to create one of the most magical cruise ships on the high seas.

There are many factors that put the Disney Dream right out there as the front-runner of family cruising:

  • A first-of-its kind water coaster (The AquaDuck) that sends cruisers racing above the upper decks of the ship. The AquaDuck is 765 feet in length and spans four decks in height.

  • An animated “Crush, the sea turtle” engages children in conversation about ocean life

  • Play among the fascinating characters from "Toy Story" in Andy's Room

  • Check out the Laugh Floor with loveable monsters Mike and Sully from "Monsters, Inc."

  • Explore the sea with Nemo and friends or visit Tinker Bell's fairy forest

  • Children can test their skills at animation, become a pop star or navigate ships through digital seas

  • A virtual porthole that provides guests with a real-time view of the outside. HD cameras placed on the exterior of the Disney Dream feed live video to each virtual porthole. Animated characters such as Peach The Starfish or Mickey Mouse may show up on the virtual porthole as well from time to time

  • A trendy and inviting indoor/outdoor hangout created especially for teen’s ages 14 to 17. Teens can create and edit videos, spin and mixing dance tracks, play computer games, etc.

  • Elaborately themed restaurants, distinctly Disney touches, and world-class cuisine create a magical dining experience with restaurants such as Animator’s Palate, Royal Palace and the Enchanted Garden

  • Adult tranquility with 17 private treatment rooms, lavish spa villas with indoor treatment rooms and private outdoor verandahs

  • Adults can spend time in The District, a nighttime entertainment scene on the Disney Dream with five unique venues

Whatever tickles your fancy, the new Disney cruise ship is going to be one for the ages and is almost guaranteed to deliver magical moments for you that will last a lifetime.
